About this Artist

Dina Roudman was born in Siberia, before moving to Kazakhstan and then Israel as a child. As a teenager she began a modeling career which took her to Paris, Milan, Berlin, New York, Miami, and Athens, before finally settling down in Toronto. Due to her modeling career, Dina had a whirlwind youth and early adulthood, which impressed upon her the scope and sophistication of the world of art, design, and fashion. These experiences led her to discover her own creativity, and she emerged as a painter. Largely self taught, Dina brings boldness to large format, mixed media canvases. She uses her entire body to paint. She structures her compositions tracing large-limbed movements with brushes ranging in size from a fraction of an inch to a hand’s-width, combining explosive, colourful energy and lyrical monochromatic minimalism. Blessed with an unusually free and courageous spirit, Dina has continually overcome her fears, faced her limitations, and then boldly leapt into the unknown.
